The Kano State INEC Resident Electoral Commission, Prof. Riskuwa Arabu has appealed for calm among residents and indigenes of the state.
He made the appeal following the disruption of the collation process at the Nasarawa Local Government Area Centre, in the early hours of Monday.
According to him, the commission was determined to ensure that the processes and procedures were followed in collating and announcement of the final results later today.
Arabu said, “The results from 10 wards out of the 11 wards were collated in Nasarawa Local Government before the disruption.
“We have invited the representatives of all the political parties to witness the regeneration of the results as we enter it into the necessary forms since they also have copies of these results from the polling units up to the wards.
“I can assure you of our commitment to do what is right and we will be fair to all. We appeal to the political class to support us and cooperate with us.”
