Kano State’s commissioner of Works (Muaz Magaji) is an extraordinarily stupid person still novitiating politically. After reading his poorly-written vituperative piece/comment against Sen Ibrahim Shekarau my day went pear-shaped. The opportunist must have ignorantly misconstrued what Sardaunan Kano said in the interview he recently had with BBC Hausa when he was in London on a national assignment. Most of you in the APC are just eating what you laboured not for! Where were you when the gentleman Sen Ibrahim Shekarau combed through the country trying to make the formation of the APC a reality? Who cares if tomorrow the ship capsizes in the middle of the ocean? You can’t drag the name of the just and well-mannered senator through the mud and be allowed to go scot-free simply because you are by sheer accident occupying an office that isn’t worth that of a common and garden councilor under the Shekarau-led administration which seamlessly lasted for eight uninterrupted years.
Somebody who has never ever given you a dime or a morsel to feed your family shouldn’t discourage you from marrying as many as four wives, so that you don’t exceed the divinely approved figures/limit. Only a fool hunter will listen to the chirping parrot and think that the mellifluous/sleep-inducing sound he hears is from the heaven! Listen always to the monarch who suffers from the diarrhea of the mouth but take his words with a pinch of salt. It’s also a mercurial sign of a borderline schizophrenic to talk any, old how as he does!

A member of the newly constituted National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), Alhaji Sani Sa’id Kazaure, has today paid a courtesy call on the Distinguished Senator for Kano Central, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau Sardauna Kano, at his residence.
Alhaji Sani Kazaure, who had lived in the same area in Kano metropolis with the Sardauna, said he found it necessary to visit and inform the Senator about the development.
He is to represent four of the seven states of the Northwest geographical zone; namely Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, and Katsina in the commission.
Alhaji Kazaure was accompanied on the visit by the immediate past Chief Judge of Kano state, Justice Shehu Atiku; Alhaji Suleiman Abdullahi Muhammad (aka Sule Mambo); and Alhaji Ado Umar Muhammad.
In his remark, the Senator thanked the new NASS commission member for the visit and wished him best of luck in his new assignment.

The training program for Management staff of the National Assembly Service Commission continued today with Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau in attendance. Also in attendance is the chairman House Committee on Public Service Engr Bala Sani. The training is expected to end tomorrow.

In continuation of his oversight assignment, His Excellency, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau has today participated at the opening of a 5 day training conference on efficient service delivery in public service for management staff of the National Assembly Service Commission in Copenhagen, Denmark.
A total of 47 federal civil servants Of both management and senior cadre have today sat for 2019 promotion examinations at the Nigerian High Commission in London.
The examination currently going on in four centres across the globe was deliberately arranged to start in all the four centres simultaneously despite the time difference.
The centres are New York at 10am local time, for North and South America, USA. Nairobi, Kenya for Africa at 5pm local time, New Delhi, India for those from Asia at 830am local time, and London, UK at 3pm for those working within the European countries.
Addressing the participants, the chairman Senate Committee on Public Service and Establishment, His Excellency Senator Ibrahim Shekarau charge them to always remain good ambassadors of the country.
He then prayed for Allahโs guidance. Sen. Shekarau was accompanied to the examination hall by his counter part from the House of Representatives Hon. Engr Bala Sani, members of the Federal Civil Service Commission, and the Permanent Secretary Of the Commission Mr Abel Olumuyiwa.

Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, is representing Kano Central senatorial district comprising 15 local governments under APC. His district is the largest in terms of voters concentration in the whole federation. During the last elections, he got the highest votes of 506,234 among all his 108 colleagues in the Red Chamber.

1/ The most daunting challenges we faced and which need to be address in our electoral process, are twin issues of an all encompassing and aggressive mobilization of electorates to performed their civic duty and the inadequacy of police to manned the election proper.
2/ To Senator Shekarau, majority of people we represent are unaware and not conversant with basic responsibilities of law makers and rudiments of law making and to be fair, some of our elected representative too.

5/ Even though there are technical challenges and hiccups in respect of execution of Constituency Projects of the National Assembly, the program is important and beneficial, it should be strengthened and sustained
6/ In the last four months I have studied the needs and peculiarities of Kano central district and have interacted extensively with various segments of stakeholders and still on going and soon will unveiled a comprehensive implementation plan for the benefit of our constituents.
7/ Our agenda is premised on three items: building a strong individual with sublime character, a sound education to complement state efforts and training productive youths in meaningful livelihood
8/ As Chairman of the Senate committee on Establishment and Public service, we will work assiduously to address lingering pension problems, is enough and worth a project to be proud of within a tenure
.
9/ We will coordinate our efforts and synchronized our agenda with colleagues and other like minds to pursue common projects beneficial to all our people from the federation
10/ Part of legislative agenda in this Ninth Senate is to work harmoniously with the executive arm of government in the best interest of Nigeria.
